The Al-Hilal football club from Saudi Arabia plans to register Brazilian footballer Neymar during the winter transfer window. This move comes after Neymar returns from injury or misses a few matches due to injury, absent from Al-Hilal's squad for the entire year. The footballer sustained the injury in October 2023 while playing for the Brazil national team.
Neymar was first included in the lineup for the match against Al-Ain from the UAE in the Asian Champions League last week - October 21, 2024, since he received the injury. At the beginning, the club excluded Neymar from the lineup due to the injury and the uncertainty regarding the timing of his return, but plans to register him in January of next year.
If Al-Hilal indeed registers Neymar in January, his first match for the club will be against Al-Ittihad. The contract of the Brazilian player with Al-Hilal ends in the summer of 2025, leaving only one season remaining.
From Al-Hilal's side, a match with Al-Ittihad is scheduled for January 6, 2025, as part of the quarterfinals of the King Cup of Saudi Arabia.
