The Saudi club Al-Qadsia has officially announced the signing of Northern Irish manager Brendan Rodgers to lead its first football team, replacing the Spanish coach Michel González, who was dismissed on Sunday. The club, owned by Aramco, welcomed its new head coach through an official statement and a series of social media posts. Brendan Rodgers comes armed with thirteen titles, with the most notable being the FA Cup and the Community Shield with Leicester City. He also won 11 championships with the Scottish Celtic club during two separate spells. Previously, Rodgers managed the legendary Liverpool between 2012 and 2015, achieving a runners-up position in the league and scoring 101 goals under his management in a single season.
