American professional Marvel Harris shone with the basketball team Al-Nasr, scoring 22 points and leading his team to a victory over Al-Bataeh with a score of (83-76) in the match held the day before yesterday. This win served as a form of redemption for "Al-Nasr," which had suffered its only league defeat in the past October against "Al-Ra'qi" in the second round of the preliminary stage with a score of (96-99). The opening round also saw the Al-Wasl team return from their host's arena, Al-Jazira, with a well-deserved victory achieved by a 23-point margin, with a final score of (80-57). Al-Bataeh missed the opportunity to end the first quarter leading (18-15) after Al-Nasr managed to regain its balance and impose its dominance on the course of the match in the following three quarters with scores of (22-18, 24-22, 22-18), emerging as the winner of the match. Al-Nasr temporarily topped the overall standings with 17 points, two points ahead of both Al-Sharjah and Al-Bataeh, who share second place. Meanwhile, Al-Wasl strengthened its position in fifth place with 13 points, while Al-Jazira, despite the loss, maintained its sixth place with 10 points.
