A recent study conducted by Kaspersky and involving participants from the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Turkey, South Africa, Nigeria, and Egypt) points to the following trends and cybersecurity problems in this region.
One of the key issues has been the low awareness of users about cybersecurity. Many respondents do not know how to protect their devices and data. The lack of basic knowledge and skills in the field of cybersecurity makes individuals vulnerable to cyber threats.
As part of this study, it was found that the majority of respondents encountered cyberattacks, while a significant number of them lacked sufficient knowledge to prevent or mitigate its consequences. This highlights the need for increased education in the field of cybersecurity among the population and the business community in the mentioned regions.
As the authors of the study emphasized, the field of cybersecurity requires more attention and training, especially in light of growing threats in the online world. Regular updates of knowledge and the use of modern security tools are becoming a necessity for preventing cyberattacks and protecting personal information.
