In Saudi Arabia, a joint Arab-Islamic summit was convened in Riyadh on November 11 to discuss the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestinian territories and Lebanon, as well as current events in the region. This was stated in an official communication published by the national agency Saudi Press Agency.
Riyadh noted that in light of the observed development of events in the region and the continuing Israeli aggression against the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as the expansion of this conflict into Lebanon, seeking to infringe upon its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the dangerous consequences of this aggression for the security and stability of the region, Saudi Arabia emphasized its condemnation and denunciation regarding the ongoing crimes and violations committed against the brotherly Palestinian people.
"We emphasize the importance of holding this joint meeting to discuss ways to support the rights of the Palestinian people and the Lebanese republic in protecting their sovereignty and achieving a just resolution to these conflicts," the official statement read.
It is expected that the summit will be organized under the patronage of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to formulate a common Arab-Islamic stance on the indicated issue.
