Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry of Sports on Monday relieved Khalif Al-Hawishan of his duties as president of Al-Shabab Club and appointed owner Abdulaziz bin Fahd as interim president until a new board is elected. It is worth noting that this decision came just 24 hours after a financial penalty of two million riyals was imposed on the club for renewing player contracts without referring to the Financial Control Committee. The decision stated that the dismissal was based on Article 95, paragraph 10, of the Clubs' Basic Regulation.
