The drone attack caused material damage and a 'limited' fire, according to the ministry, which had access to the Argentine News Agency. Earlier reports indicated that loud explosions had been heard in Riyadh's diplomatic district. U.S. President Donald Trump, for his part, said in an interview with Newsnation: 'Soon you will learn about Washington's response to the attack on its embassy in Riyadh and the killing of American soldiers'. Saudi authorities reported a 'limited fire' at the U.S. Embassy after it was hit by two drones. 'According to initial estimates, the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh was attacked by two unmanned aircraft, causing a limited fire and minor material damage to the building,' a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense said.
