American billionaire Elon Musk spoke at the eighth conference of the initiative "Future of Investing", which started on Tuesday in Ere-Riad. During his speech, he stated:
"We want to build colonies on Mars. I think you should consider this as a family task."
Musk also emphasized the importance of using renewable energy sources to reduce the world’s dependence on coal, oil, and gas.
"It's like a game. If we are going to use these sources when there is the possibility, we will be playing in the 'very easy' mode. We will win very quickly," he emphasized.
He expressed confidence that humanity stands before a historical choice: either to create a sustainable civilization on Mars, which will provide a chance for survival in the event of a catastrophe on Earth, or to remain on Earth and go through "the Dark Ages".
