The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has spoken out against proposals to relocate the Palestinian people from their historical lands, regardless of whether such measures are temporary or permanent solutions. In its statement, it emphasized the importance of providing significant humanitarian assistance in the Gaza sector to support forcibly displaced groups of the population in their reintegration back into the community.
OIC also expressed the view on the necessity of achieving a fair, sustainable, and inclusive world in the region in conjunction with relevant resolutions of the Organization of United Nations and the Arab Peace Initiative. This includes an end to the Israeli occupation and the cessation of colonial activities.
OIC supports the establishment of an independent state of Palestine, adhering to the borders of 1967, with Al-Quds as its capital. The organization called on the international community to fulfill its obligations to implement the two-state solution.
The organization reiterated its categorical support for the right of the Palestinian people to their land and sacred sites. OIC calls upon the Palestinian government to fulfill its obligations to support the territorial integrity, which includes the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and East Al-Quds.
OIC regards these actions as insights into the Palestinian issue, which it classifies as a clear violation of international law and relevant resolutions of the United Nations Organization. The organization underscored the critical necessity for the immediate withdrawal of Israeli military forces from the occupied Palestinian territories.
OIC insists on the necessity for the Palestinian people to exercise their right to self-determination and restore their legal rights, including the right to return.
