Al-Ahli of Jeddah is finalizing the details to extend the contract of Senegalese international goalkeeper Edouard Mendy for two seasons, with the new deal running until 2028. The Jeddah-based club signed the former Chelsea keeper in the summer of 2023 on a three-season contract. The 33-year-old goalkeeper helped the Jeddah giant win the 2024 AFC Champions League and the 2025 Saudi Super Cup. Al-Ahli is seeking stability through a series of strategic decisions. The club recently renewed the contract of Turkish defender Admiral Midrag for two seasons and has plans to keep Ivorian Kessé and Brazilian defender Ebanza. According to insiders, the decision was made on the recommendation of the technical team led by German coach Matthias and the sports management headed by Portuguese Pedro.
