Koulibali to miss Al-Hilal match due to injury

Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibali has stayed behind with his club Al-Hilal in Riyadh instead of traveling to Jeddah on Friday for the Asian Champions League knockout stages. The player is experiencing muscular pain in his quadriceps. The Saudi capital club announced via its X account that the player will remain in Riyadh for an X-ray on the injury to assess its severity. Previously, the duo of Malcom and Mohamed Kanno also reported muscular issues: Malcom with a hamstring problem and Kanno with a calf issue. However, both players have traveled to Jeddah, where Al-Hilal will face Qatar's Al-Sadd on Monday in the quarter-finals. Uruguayan striker Gonzalo Nuñez will miss the match due to accumulated yellow cards. Meanwhile, defender Pablo Marí, who is only registered for the Asian competition alongside Nuñez, will be available to play.
