The head coach of the Saudi Arabia national football team, Frenchman Hervé Renard, revealed before the upcoming match against the UAE team on Thursday, in the match for third and fourth place within the Arab Cup held in Doha, that he is committed to his current contract with 'The Greens' and will continue his work until the end, confirming that he will leave if he is notified to end his mission.
Renard said: "I have a contract with the Saudi Arabia national team, and I will respect it until the end, and if I am told to end my job, I will go elsewhere, this is normal in the world of football, and it is not my decision."
The Saudi Arabia national team coach expressed his dissatisfaction with his team's performance in the Arab Cup, considering that the upcoming participation in the 2026 World Cup will be different, in terms of preparation and ambitions.
Renard said during the pre-match press conference held on Wednesday: "We realize that we did not succeed in qualifying for the final of the Arab Cup."
Renard questioned the reasons for the absence of titles from the Saudi Arabia national team since 2003, while at the same time emphasizing the need to double the work in the coming stage.
The coach of 'The Greens' stressed that Saudi football is full of talents, indicating that the next stage requires greater effort to restore the titles and achieve the desired results.
