Sources have indicated in recent hours that ownership of several Saudi clubs owned by the Public Investment Fund may be transferred to new entities starting from the beginning of 2026. According to sources, Al-Hilal will be the first club to transfer its ownership to a new entity. Sources added that the companies of Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, an influential honorary member of the blue capital, are the closest to winning the ownership of the new Al-Hilal. Sources predict that Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli will follow suit. The sovereign Saudi fund acquired 75% of the shares in Al-Nasr, Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Ahli clubs in 2003, while 25% remained with the non-profit organization represented by honorary members who pay membership fees in each club.
