
Yesterday, in the headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation in Malaysia, the draw for the Asia Championship for players under 17 took place, which will be held in Saudi Arabia from April 3 to April 20. A total of 16 teams will participate in the tournament.
According to the results of the draw, the Saudi Arabia team was placed in Group B along with the teams from Japan, Australia, and Vietnam. The team passed the qualifying stage, taking first place in Group H with six points after victories over Malaysia (2-0) and Laos (5-2).
All teams that took the first places secured themselves spots in the World Championship among players under 17 in Qatar in 2025. This is the new expanded edition of the World Championship, in which for the first time 48 teams will participate.
