During the opening of the 143rd session of the Arab League's Foreign Affairs Ministerial, Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan called for timely measures to stop the recent escalation of violence in Gaza and Lebanon. In his speech, he also emphasized the need for resolving conflicts through peaceful means and the collective efforts among Arab states.
Saudi Prince, Muhammad bin Salman, complemented this statement by directing attention to resolving conflicts and urged for a moment of collective calm. According to him, this indicates a positive impact on the situation in the region and allows for the beginning of negotiations to achieve long-lasting peace.
"We condemn the ongoing attacks against the Palestinian people in Gaza and express our deep concern for the sake of our collective safety and stability in the region. The current situation requires us to unite our efforts and resolve conflicts through peaceful means," the prince emphasized.
Meanwhile, the status quo and tensions in Lebanon have been exacerbated by recent events at the border with Israel, where two Israeli soldiers and one Lebanese national were killed during the shelling. This ongoing conflict poses risks of internal resistance within Lebanon, adding to the already complex political scenario in the country.
In this way, the statements from Saudi representatives indicate serious concerns regarding the incidents in Gaza and Lebanon, as well as the formation of strategies for promoting peace in the region.
