The Secretary-General of the Council of Arab States of the Persian Gulf, Yasser Mohamed al-Badawi, affirmed that in the current situation, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the states of the Council must act in solidarity and coordination to ensure safety, stability, and well-being for their citizens. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and solidarity among the countries of the region to overcome all the challenges they face.
"We are convinced that only through agreed actions can we overcome the challenges born of this crisis situation and ensure the protection of our peoples," said al-Badawi.
He also expressed deep gratitude to all healthcare workers and staff in the health sector who are working on the front lines of this struggle, risking their health for the common good.
"We must remain decisive, supportive, and help each other during these difficult times. Our peoples can feel secure only thanks to our unity and mutual assistance," concluded the Secretary-General of the Council of Arab States of the Persian Gulf.
