Between Saudi Arabia and Iraq, an attempt to intercept a shipment of seven million methamphetamine tablets was successfully prevented. According to the words of the official representative of the Saudi Arabian General Prosecutor's Office, the operation was successful thanks to the combined efforts of the authorities of both countries. The traffickers were detained, and in relation to them, all necessary measures were taken.

The head of the Iraqi government, Barak Al-Hoshan, stated that cooperation between the two countries is a key element in the fight against international criminal syndicates that seek to conduct drug trafficking through the territories of both countries.

Preliminary information about the attempts to traffic drugs was communicated to the specialized services for combating drug trafficking, which allowed for timely prevention of this illegal process.
