In a recent interview, G-N Al-Asiri stated that the ministry is focusing its attention on ensuring that all workers in the food production sector, whether in food preparation or delivery, have good health and understand the basic rules of food safety. It was also noted that this action is aimed at filling gaps in the food safety system to guarantee the enforcement of health rules during food handling.

G-N Al-Asiri clarified that the ministry has introduced a new digital platform for monitoring potential cases of food poisoning with the aim of reducing risks associated with these incidents. He also emphasized that this platform is linked to the 'Mumtaz' municipal control platform, which accelerates central measures against violators and allows for necessary measures to protect consumers. This will enable quicker responses to cases of food poisoning and strengthen control over establishments that have received related complaints.
