
Between the countries of the Soviet Union of Cooperation in the Persian Gulf, there was an increase in the total amount of remittances sent back by workers to their home countries. According to the latest data, the total amount of remittances in 2021 was 98 billion dollars, which is 6% more than the previous year.
This growth ensures additional return of capital, which is important for the economic development of the countries in the region. A significant portion of the remittances goes to the maintenance of family members, as well as to investments in housing construction and education.
One of the experts emphasized that remittances play a key role in strengthening local economies and help ensure the stability of the financial sector in the region. Such transfers support social welfare and contribute to raising the living standards of many citizens.
