Inflation Rates Lower Than Expected in February

Analysts note that in February of the current year, prices for goods and services increased less than expected. Data published by the state statistical office indicated that consumer prices rose by 2.5% compared to the previous year.

According to expert opinions, this increase was chiefly attributed to the rise in food, alcohol, and tobacco prices. For instance, prices for vegetables and fruits increased by 6.2%, while grains and bread rose by 3.1%.

Inflation in the country continues to remain at a level that has not been observed since the beginning of the pandemic. Many economists expected a more significant price increase; however, actual indicators turned out to be more moderate.

Experts also indicate that in the coming months, prices may rise due to instability in global markets and other factors. Therefore, it is important to closely monitor price dynamics and prepare for a possible increase in expenses.
