OPEC+ Eight Members Meet for Voluntary Adjustments

Yesterday, a meeting of OPEC+ took place, where all eight member countries were present. As a reminder, it was previously announced on additional voluntary production cuts for oil production in April.

At the meeting, it was decided to confirm the commitment of OPEC+ member countries to maintain the objectivity and fairness of measures to stabilize global oil markets. In this regard, current demand indicators for energy carriers were discussed, as well as the prospects for the recovery of the global economy after the pandemic.

As the representatives of OPEC+ noted, all the adopted decisions are aimed at supporting the sustainability of the oil market and stimulating economic growth. Within the framework of the joint agreement on production cuts, participants will continue to monitor the situation in the market and, if necessary, adjust their actions.
