Burjeel Holdings, a leading super-specialty healthcare provider in the MENA region, introduced two pioneering healthcare solutions at the Global Health Exhibition 2024. The unveiling of Alkalma and Burjeel One builds on the success of PhysioTherabia, Saudi Arabia’s largest physiotherapy network with 28 centers since 2023.
At the exhibition, visitors got insight into how Alkalma and Burjeel One support Saudi Arabia’s shift towards a comprehensive healthcare model. Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder and Chairman of Burjeel Holdings, briefed the Minister of Health of Saudi Arabia on the new initiatives at the Global Health Exhibition.
Alkalma, a mental health and well-being platform, is a strategic joint venture between Burjeel Holdings and Colombia-based healthcare leader Keralty, enhancing preventive care and health risk management. Burjeel One, a network of day surgery centers, addresses the increasing demand for high-quality same-day medical services.
Burjeel One centers, incorporating advanced robotics, will open in Riyadh by 2025 to ensure world-class care with minimized hospital stays. These initiatives align with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, aiming to revolutionize healthcare delivery in the region.
The Group's commitment to integrating advanced technologies and value-based care models in healthcare was showcased at the exhibition under the theme ‘Making Space for Innovation.’ Burjeel Holdings displayed its expertise in complex care across specialties like orthopedics, oncology, pediatrics, and cardiovascular care.
Alkalma and Burjeel One mark a new era in healthcare innovation, aiming to provide integrated care from mental health to specialized surgery and rehabilitation. These new services are set to reach nearly 30 million patients across the MENA region over the next decade. Initiatives align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and are poised to transform the healthcare landscape in the region.
