The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced restrictions on entering Makkah for visa holders, allowing only those with Hajj visas starting from April 29, 2025. This measure aims to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims during the Hajj season.


Entry Restrictions to Makkah for Pilgrims

The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced a ban on entry or transit in the city of Mecca for all visa holders, except for pilgrims with visas to Hajj. This decision will take effect from the first day of the month of Zul-Qi'dah 1446 in the Hijri calendar, which corresponds to April 29, 2025.

The Ministry emphasized that this step was taken to ensure the safety of pilgrims and to fulfill the obligations of Hajj with peace, comfort, and tranquility.

An announcement regarding a similar ban was published on the official page of the Ministry on the 'Ex' network.
