The Egyptian international is going through an unstable period with "The Reds" and their manager Arne Slot, who confirmed that there is no issue that needs to be resolved regarding Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian star returned to the team's squad in the match that ended with a 2-0 win for Liverpool over Brighton. This came after he was sidelined due to controversial statements he made in an interview last weekend, in which he criticized the club's officials, raising doubts about his future at Anfield. However, after Salah came on as a substitute in the middle of the first half, a corner kick taken by the 33-year-old allowed Hugo Ekpitete to score his second goal. The young Frenchman scored his first goal after just 46 seconds, to record the fastest goal in the league this season. With his decisive pass, the Egyptian star surpassed Wayne Rooney's record for goal contributions in the English Premier League, marking his 277th contribution (188 goals and 89 assists).
